Currently there are 164 people employed at the institution The team of SMC HPHE works on the improvement of professional, higher education and science in Ukraine: the elaboration of education standards, curricula, training courses, textbooks, and manuals; research and recommendation on education and educational systems; establishment of cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises, farms, agricultural associations; dissemination of pedagogical innovations and new teaching methods; publishing of periodicals; and participation in international education and research programmes. The important directions of the work of SMC HPHE are the training of specialists in animal production and veterinary medicine at the national level and providing the methodological support to the universities and professional development and adult education. The institution has a strong IT department which has an experience in creation of Web-sites, e-manuals, educational films and other electronic didactic materials. SMC HPHE has a wide network of contacts in Ukraine and Europe. It includes educational and scientific institutions, extension services, agricultural enterprises, cooperatives, NGO’s etc. It has a large experience in the development and implementation of EU projects: Erasmus+, Tempus, TAIEX, a number of bilateral projects. For the moment SMC HPHE participates in 2 ERASMUS+ projects, in 1 of which it’s a national coordinator)
