The excellence centre for Sustainable Pig Farming

The Centre for Innovative Sustainable Technologies of Pig Production was established at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Bioresources of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences as part of the Department of Technologies in Poultry, Pig and Sheep Breeding. It was created on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine dated 27 September 2023 (Minutes No. 3) and in accordance with the Rector's Order dated 29 September 2023 No. 981,

The main activities of the Sector are: expert, research, advisory, educational, informational and educational.

The expert direction of activity involves promoting the objectivity and validity of scientific research, as well as increasing the role of scientific and expert support for the production of pig farming products.

The research direction of activity is aimed at the study, development, testing, adaptation and implementation of domestic and foreign innovative technologies for the production and processing of pig farming products.

Centre for Innovative Sustainable Technologies of Pig Production, as a platform for the intersection of the interests of modern science, institutions of higher and pre-higher education, research institutes and the production sector. On the basis of the Center, it is planned to conduct educational, scientific, research, practical-production and educational activities with the aim of developing the potential of domestic education and science, as well as strengthening the position of the livestock industry in the field of sustainable development.

Currently, the work program of the Center is being prepared, the emblem and advertising booklets are being developed, and training is being conducted on maintaining informative web pages in social and other Internet networks.

Negotiations are underway to involve practitioners and advisers in the provision of consulting services.
